Sky+, Acer Aspire Media Centre PC, Touchbox 3 Foreign Sat Receiver

I have set up a dish pointing at hotbird 13 degrees. i get italian channels, but the signal is low and the channels are scrambled at times. got 60cm dish and touchbox 3 from maplin. i want to get all the satellite signals, do i need bigger dish? new box? my box says it can have 2500 channels but what do i do about the scrambled channels? has anyone set up this before, if yes please can you help me, if no please can you help me? also what PC card can i get to watch these unscramlbed channels? sorry also how do i record fro sky+ box to my PC?

You cannot unscramble the Italian channels on Hotbird, unless of course you get a subscription card, some of the normally free to air Italian channels will be encrypted at times if they do not have international copyright on a programme.

A 60cm dish should be fine for all the channels on Hotbird, you need to check the alignment.

If you want to record to your PC from Sky+, you will need a suitable MPEG card to input the video and audio signal from the Sky+ box.

Not sure if there are any software patches for the Metronic Touchbox, it is not a particularly popular receiver.
