Hi,
What determines a satellite's life time? I notice some relics such as Intelsat 701 launched back in 1993 is still alive at 180E with no inclination at all! Same goes for Intelsat 702 launched in 1994, which was at 1W back in its day and is now serving happily at 66E with no inclination.
Whereas some, such as Express A2 at 103E, launched in 2000 is already in inclined orbit with max inclination of 4.6 degrees....
Does Intelsat have some tricks up its sleeve?
