My Satellite Setup
Technomate 1500ci+, Diseqc1.2 h-h sg2100a motor, Triax 90cm dish, 0.2 lnb,

cleveland, england
Hi all,
just got a laptop was wandering what i would need to watch my satellite channels on it using my techno 1500.

My Satellite Setup
No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

A PCMCIA or USB TV card and use the AV inputs on the card, simple as that... :D

I'm thinking of getting myself a TV card for my laptop too, so as soon as I saw "laptop" and "satellite" I had to reply!!! :D

Alternatively you'd get a much better image using a card that has a sat tuner in it, if you've got a decent setup to use a nice codec and vmr9...

Any chance of utilising Freecom DBT. USB2. stick to enable my laptop to receive channels from my sat receiver.

If it has AV input then yes you can, if not then I'm afraid you can't...
