HI ALL
I was just watching the two part series I have recorded onto DVD called "The Story Of Live Aid". I have to say I'm in awe of the way they did this concert by using 13 satellites and considering that satellite technology was not that old, it's amazing they way they did it. It also opened up new horizons for direct to home satellite TV. Let's face it, three years later in 1988, Sky took 4 transponders on the new SES craft at 19.2e and the rest as they say is history.
I feel that Live Aid was instrumental in paving the way for satellite TV we have today.
