Satfinder beep

Hi,
when trying to find a satellite i have on several times got a high tone from the satfinder or the satfinder signal level is hign that i have locked to a satellite but when i blind scan using using a receiver there is no frequency at all.What could it be?I have used different satfinders.
 
SE Africa has little being beamed into it but nobody can begin answering your questions until you tell us what equipment you have. For example the equipment you have is it C band or Ku band? what is the dish diameter?
