I have aquired a Satlook Digital from Emitor and have one problem.

I have have updated the instrument to latest 2.31 firmware and i can't get Viterbi lock on Astra2D frequencies, it finds symbol rate and it locks QPSK, demodulator etc except Viterbi.

My signal is not the problem as i have BER free reception on my IPBOX 9000 from BBC1-4.

Anyone know what's the problem, some adjustment i missed in Satlook?

Excellent instrument by the way, just this minor problem.

Moved your post to satellite meters and installation equip section.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I read the following on another forum: "I currently own a Satlook NIT, which is the best of the lot, apart from an annoying problem that the 2D stuff such as BBC will not give a full lock with viterbi which means I can’t read the SNR or BER readings, I have to tune BBC/ITV on strength alone. It’s not a fault just that the signal doesn’t get strong enough for the NIT to give this lock". So it looks like it could be a "feature" of the meter, not a fault.

It's a pity because I really fancied buying it; now I'm not so sure.

Yes it's sorted now, when i connected the cable directly into the satlook it worked instead of looping thru ipbox.

By the way, it's not for sale anymore, you should have bought it when you had the chance.
