Hi , ppl I am in desperate need for a solution to the above instrument regarding its battery . According to its manual that recharging from discharged battery to about 85 % capacity takes aprox. 3 hours . which is is only for aprox. 1 hour operation . After that you have to rechage the the battery for another 3 hours . There is a big Note in its manual it says ( The instrument should be turned off when the battery recharged . ) Which means I have to turned off the instrument and stop in the middle of my testing work whiich two hour time . I think this is not practical way that every less than an hour I have to recharge the battery for 3 hours time and stop my work for the whole 3 hours waiting for the battery to recharged .

Anyway Is it possible when the battery becomes fully charged to keep the external power supply 220v/13.5v connected to the AC-power supply ( Mains ) to maintain the battery fully charged and turn the instrument on while I am working for more than two hours . Please Advice

Best Regards

As far as I know you can, I seem to remember that Emitor had them plugged into the power supply at the last few shows. Why not go to www.emitor.se and use the contact us button to ask your question, they are normally very helpful. :)

Ive run the Satlook using an external 12V supply into the usual charging port.

No problems here, however since it takes approximately 8 hours to charge the battery to maximum I would assume that it may not be as happy with the supplied charger unit.
