I bought a used satlook micro+. The seller told me he had trouble with charging, but suggested a running time of 30min for each charge.
The batterypack is new, they have tried changing it without any better performance.
The included powersupply is of the "transformesless"-kind I think.
The manual says, use no other than this one.. 13.8v
Using the included one, I only get 4 minutes of running time, no matter how long i charge.
The timer keeps running, and the voltage reaches 13,8 before going to trickle.
I upgraded it's firmavre with 363, making it a kind of G2.
I opened it up, and brushed away some traces of moisture.
I also found a transisitor / voltage regulator of some kind on the secound pcb. It looks like it has overheated once..
Althought the instrument works fine when powered from the charger.
It's hard to read what the possible overheated part is named.
I tried charging the unit with a 12v dc transformer-supply. By then, I can reach 30 min runtime.
If someone should happen to have a opened up satlook, would you look at the part and tell the name? ;)
Or if someone has parts for a meter...
Interessted in how long you charge yours, and runtime and so on..
BTW: I have no working backlight. Is that a feature I should have, or is the firmware common for more models..?!
