Saying something's free when it's not

I was on a website posting a job, and it said 100% free. So I went through all the stages.

There were about 7 stages and when I got to the end to post the job, it said that I will be paying £19.99.

WTH! :eek:

This really annoys me. :mad:

It's like another time I wanted to post something else, some place else, and they did the same thing. Said it was free but hit me with a £22 charge - which I declined. ;)

I just left the website.
 
What was the justification for them making this charge?
 
I find some Mobile Telephone adverts rather curious.

You mean you can actually read the legalese/ripoff stuff underneath the advert G?
My microscope isn't powerful enough.
 
Surveys are another story.
I received a message last week from a well known bookshop website that I bought some books from few months ago.
They offered me 10% on my next order if I fill in a survey.
As I was considering to buy a new book soon, this was just in time.
So I went through the survey and in the end I expected them to ask for my email address to send me the discount voucher, but instead I got a wham bam thankyou sir last message and sent me straight to the website. After a while when I didn't receive the voucher, I sent the help desk a message saying that I will never do any survey for them again.
After few days I received a message that my voucher will be sent by the 24th May.
In the original message I received, they didn't specify when the voucher will be sent, and I just assumed it will be just after I completed the survey.
Now I lost interest to buy the book from them if I need to wait that long.
