scam fails restart after power failure

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox 7020Si receiver, PLi image loaded and Irdeto and Viaccess cards installed. Dishes for Nilesat + Hotbird with lnb's for BADR and Eurobird 9
My Location

scam 2.0.11 does not restart automatically on boot after a power failure.

It has to be restarted manually.:mad:

Nor sure what the question is or if it a statement of fact?

The fact is that if you live in an area prone to supply outages and you want to run sensitive electronic equipment containing hard drives you need to use UPS backup to stop the power being lost when the hard drive is in use, as with a basic computer.

You are right.
I do have a UPS, 400W capacity, for about 4 hours,
but it has been playing up lately.

My comparison here is with a Starsat box and my Pioneer DVR,
which both recover without a hitch after a power failure.
The DVR even carries on recording, if the current timer programme has not finished.
I have yet to be convinced that the 7020 does the same.
 
I am not a dreambox owner but I suspect that it is configurable somewhere exactly what services start on boot and what does not. Even on Win XP in control panel services you have options within each service to disable, start automatic or manual start.

Are you sure it is scam 2.0.11 and NOT CCcam 2.0.11 ?
If there is a typo, I can modify the title if you want.

There is something not quite correct.
The latest Scam version is 3.44 (2008-12-16) while CCcam is version 2.0.11
Please check again.

Use blue button and make sure that the cam You want is marked in the first column. After that this cam should always start when You start the box
