scanning 1w problem

My Satellite Setup
Dreambox DM500s, DM800HD, Sky+, minidish, Fortek star 90cm dish, Fortek Star Motor.
My Location
Newcastle England
Hi all,

Can somebody tell me why, when I scan this satellite, I can only find 92 services.
I am trying to get the C+ sport channels.
I know my dish is big enough as I could receive them on my 500s. But I can't seem to find them on my DM800.
I'm probably doing something stupid as usual.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Do you have sufficient signal quality, or low enough BER on the appropriate transponders?


If not, try tweaking the motor round a bit to maximize.

I have 99% signal strength.
I have a problem scanning a lot of sats with the 800.
Can you tell me why, when I scan a sat ( i'm currently trying 28.2 again ), I only pick up a part of what is available. I never seem to get the full list.
Very frustrating.

Not sure about the DM800, but other receivers I have used require the network search to be enabled, allowing the scan function to find the channels based on live information, rarther than what is contained in the memory database
 
I have downloaded and installed the satellites.xml file through the blue panel.
I just wondered if that has lost my chanells.
I have deleted all my sats and am starting again.
It looks like i'll miss the footy this afternoon.
