I wouldn't listen to Geeedo on this one, he's wrong. The stuff they're putting into space from this Scottish spaceport is destined for Polar or Molniya orbits. That means it's better to launch from a northerly (or southerly) position away from the Equator. There are plenty of spaceports in the far north of the Northern hemisphere (Kodiak, Alaska; Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia; etc) or in the far South of the Southern hemisphere (Woomera, Australia).
Geeeedo should do his research before he publishes.
