So after the fiasco of having to wait to get my magically ambiguous address for the gas to be changed on the national database. I'm finally going through the process of changing to a smaller company where I can actually get a fair price for my energy. They have never took a direct debit off me for the first time in the 2 & a half years we have been with them despite them insisting that this was all set up & fine & dandy. Instead I have always logged on to my account and made manual payments with my debit card, then as soon as I action the switch to a new supplier they take £69 out the blue after me making a manual payment just 5 days earlier covering my usage at the time of my last 4 weekly readings, Convenient! Good job I noticed via my banking app, a quick call to my bank and they reversed the amount there and then. Scottish Power are crooks and at best completely useless.

I have also had my moments with them when managing my mum's affairs, but then again you can add EON and British Gas to that list

I avoid all large companies for anything (sadly, Sky TV is controlled by SWMBO). For energy, we use Good Energy, which along with UK based customer support, uses renewable energy. Makes me feel a little better...

Avro energy is the company I am in the process of switching to, will basically time travel us back to the price we were paying two years back almost. $ky? We simply can't afford it, I love my NatGeo Air Crash investigation ect but theres no way I could stomach paying that fat f#*k £25 a month for 18 months and have a shitty Q box to boot.
