Hi,
Just installed a Scandisk 2 GB SD card in the DM8000. checked under device manager (lt 6 image) and it was not recognized. hard restarted the box ..still the same.

Any help please? :confused:
 
What is it formatted using? it should be FAT32 IIRC
 
It is new. don't have a slot for it in my PC to format it. only in a DM8000.
 
When I installed a cf card into my 7020 I had to format it as well before I could use it. I just used the formatting tool in flash wizard.
 
My problem is not formating the card..it is that the dm8000 system does not see the card. the box has to recognize it before it can be formated or used at all.
It is a driver issue..it should hot-plug but it is not..anyone installed a SD card in a DM8000 ?
 
Yes I have an SD card for EPG and Picons. I use Dream Elite image and the device manager see's the card without any issues. As you say, you can then format / mount it.
 
Well is it recognised in another piece of equipment then, a camera for instance, a laptop or a Freeview player?
If it is new it could be faulty!

I inserted in a PS3 and it was recognized instantly, no problems. I know if I change the image it will probably work, but I like lt6 so i will use another type of memory.

The same SD memory card worked fine with GP2 4.7 image. it is only with the LT6 that it is not recognized. If any has it working with Lt6 image please post the solution here.
