Disconnect all external cables from dishes to receivers. and TV aerials to, well TVs.

Extreme weather conditions to prevail across the whole of the SE area (Cambridge to Dorset) for the next 8 to 10 hours.

The same warning appears to be relevant same time tomorrow as well

Noted. It's quiet here in Cambridge. Too quiet. High humidity and a distinct smell of ozone in the air. My nostril hairs are quivering with the expectation of severe stormy weather about to arrive.

Aerial cable disconnected, DiSEqC cable too.

Gentrification of the city's suburbs. Front gardens concreted for car(s) standing, back gardens covered in patios. What open ground remaining awash with flash flooding, surface drains can't cope.

Storms not bad enough to wake me up, plenty of rain though.
