looking for Moteck/Strong V-Box remote and one for EDON 2150 V-box

I have a EDON 2150 V-box and it does not come with a remote control. You control it through the receiver.

There are remotes for it , very useful to use the positioner as stand-alone

That remote looks very familiar. Apart from the front silver face, it is the same as the Samsung DSR 9400/9500 units from over a decade ago. AA batteries if I recall.

I have a couple here if there is a chance the command structure is the same.

Piccys in the auction (not mine)

You'r right , at my picture its hard to see the number on de positioner , searching on the web shows that there are only remotes delivered with the EDON 2152 .

@Trust quick question - are you currently using the EDON V-box? have you encountered an issue with limits? all of the limits have been cleared by the box but whenever I go from, for example, 1w to 34.5w, it stops half way through with a Lc on the display... I end up disabling the limits on the box and it continues to move - it drives me crazy.

No, I'm not using it yet , but I love to test it .
Do you have a manual for me ?

Yeah, got the manual - I'll scan it during the weekend and I'll post it here

Great , thanks !
does that manual explanes what Lc means ?

you can buy a remote from "one for all"
ex urc7110 (one device can be positionner vbox)
urc7120 2 device etc.. urc7140 4 devices
they are fully programmable i have key map for vbox .
free software and hardware very cheap look at JP1 forum.

Here's the manual Link

Another issue with this v-box is that it cannot be reset to factory settings - I've been trying to do so as when I drive to 0, it sends the dish all the way to the east.

If you open the VBOX or shine a light into the display window is there any sign of an IR receiver LED? I wonder if the difference between the two model numbers was just whether or not a remote was included.

Thank I will test it next days .
I opend the 2150 , there is missing the IR sensor and a small elco , but since the processor is labeled 2150 I think its useless to put those missing parts to the circuit board .

Found the time to test it , same issue here , turned all the way east , disabled the limits and for a while it works fine.
But sometimes the display shows L> inmedeality after selecting another satellite .
I found that box in a secondhand store didn't need it but just took it for € 3.50 .
The fact that it does not show the amount of pulses and no remote , made it not one of my favorit positioners .
I wonder if the 2052 got the same trubble

Also, sometimes when I align the signal of a satellites, all of the other ones satellites decrease.

For example... when I go Sky News on 0.8w it would have 16.4db but if I was to go to 30.4w or 54.9e and try to realign to improve the signal and then return to 0.8w, the signal would have decreased to around 11db in 0.8w and it would also decrease in all of the stored sats in between.

I'm not sure if this is a motor or or positioner issue.

Either way, I'm hoping to get another one.

That sounds like there is play in the bearings outside, unless you have a long cable run to the dish.

Ended up putting away the motor I was using (Jaeger SMR-128G) and put up the CM polar mount and 18" actuator. Also bought a Technomate TM-5500 DAPCI to use as a positioner.

What it wrong with that Jaeger SMR-128G rotor , I like a H2H rotor more than polarmount with actuator .
Today I opened the Edon again and checked the elco's by soldering them out and messured it .
I put one one (220u 35V) by accident the wrong way back , by powering up the box it started to wisthle and smoke came out .
After renewing the blown elco I made a lot ( ± 15 min. ) of testruns between 42º E and 12º W and some positions between .
All the time the was no sign of L< or L> in the display .

That's an "OOPS" then - but haven't we all done that at some time! :D

Yea , but most of them keep it secret
