Well, nothing is easy on Dreamboxes, you will have to play with it. You will need to first download the mail plugin from the blue button if you use a Gemini image. The pop3 settings are required so that the Dreambox can download the emails. You will find these pop3 settings on the website of your email provider.

SMTP (simple mail text protocol) command line language to send and recieve maill
POP3 (not sure) but refers to mail protocol settings between servers and clients, the plugin that is mentioed would include settings lile outgiong and incomming server settings eg. mail.btinternet.com
