selsat dish help urgently needed!!

hi there,

if anyone could help me with this it would be great!

I live in the south of France. Selfsat dish is set up on the balcony of my flat with no obstruction. The digibox (Panasonic DSB40) is showing 100% signal strength and 90% signal quality only varying a minute amount during poor weather conditions. Correctly pointed if Im not mistaken as box showing network id 0002 and transport stream 07d4.

HOWEVER! cannot get bbc channels and various channels either not working at all or at varyiong times and those that do work have signal break up, lagging and freeze. I have tried the box elsewhere and it works fine so do not think that it is the box. I have re-fixed the f connectors without any amelioration of the problem.

As I havent been able to find much about these dishes It would be great to hear from anyone knowing anything about them!!

I just cant understand why this isnt working with the signal I am receiving!!

Post moved from the French speaking forum since you posted it in English.
You do not say which model of Selfsat you have however they are made for in footprint areas and quite clearly in France (although you do not say which part) you are not in the 2D footprint. I would recommend getting a 90Cm dish and lnb and using that as what you have bought is not for fringe reception.

You are showing a good signal as the Astra 2 slot comprises of multiple satellites all with differing footprints, so just because you show a strong signal on one doesn't mean there is a strong signal on them all.
