Regarding Planet Rock. When this was on Eutelsat I got around 45-55% quality and would suffer dropouts due to rain. I was very pleased it moved to Astra 1N as I get that at 98% quality. But I noticed on Astra 2F PE beam it's only 60%. I'm surprised as I expected a better signal from 2F. I'm in the West of Ireland (Mayo) so perhaps at the edge of the PE beam.....

Have you tried adjusting the LNB skew?

I have in the past for Eutelsat but it makes very little difference on that box. I just expected 2F to be a stronger signal much like 1N is at present. Perhaps with my setup and the length of the cable run, anything on a TP of 12000 and above doesn't come in as well.

It could be the cable, especially if it's not a high quality low loss type and it is quite long. The 2F Euro beam shows it goes well into the Atlantic on the SES official site.

Finally back at home to check signal levels.

Location: Oulainen, Finland. (Close to Oulu)
Dish: Triax 110

Previously blindscan found 212 FTA tv channels.
Now i can only receive 115 channels.

Not a huge loss as i use 28e mainly for music channels, but if the north beams and eutelsat would be closed, i couldn't receive anything from 28e then =(

I'm afraid the 2A north beam will probably be gone within 6 months and already some of the music channels moved to 2F. Not good.

Any news on the south beam as others and I use it to fine tweak our dishes with weak signals?

That'll go too soon. No one is quite sure yet when 2A will leave, but certainly it's days are numbered once 2E and 2G come online.

Temporary transponders on 11954H, 11973V, 12129V, 12402V, 12422H, and 12441V are now all switched off but the temporary transponders in the lower UK spot range still seem to be broadcasting.

That makes even less channels on 28e for Eastern Europe then. Counting them, that removes 39 channels total

Yes, they where just there for a few days to help with the transition from Eutelsat to Astra 2F.

I except the remaining temporary transponders on 10979V, 11082H, 11112H, 11141H, 11156V and 11171H to be switched off soon since all these channels are also now on Astra 2F in the 12.50-12.75 range.

@solly: 12.610V is on the 2F southwest-central Europe beam as are all transponder in Band G (except the SCPC feeds, which are still on E28A I think).

12,402V has been switched off, there is no carrier anymore.

Flysat list those data transponders on 2F Eurobeam and even E28A steerable. That's wrong , they are all on the 1n PE beam.
