There is only going to be one winner from this - the lawyers.

Deutsche Telekom has signed an agreement with Eutelsat that ends its part in the dispute surrounding the use of satellite frequencies at 28.5 degrees East.
To be honest this sort of spectrum grab is pretty much unprecedented
let hope more large beam when 2f take 500 mhz in future
It's not particularly great news for me either in Finland.Your hoping solly - should 2F take over the Eutel frequencies the coverage is almost certain to become much more restricted towards the west & you can wave goodbye to dozens more UK channels over in the Middle East!
Standard Astra frequencies attached... and these would be 22000 symbol rate and 5/6 FEC (for DVB-S transponders), making them quite a bit harder to receive than the current Eutelsat allocations.I would think there will be some changes of frequency.
I think its 11200 to 11700 - Im sure Ive read SES are after the full 500MHz allocation.
Could well be - whichever way round it is its barely worth Eutelsat keeping their residual allocation
From the press release you quoted near the start of this thread:I think its 11200 to 11700 - Im sure Ive read SES are after the full 500MHz allocation.
