If you look at the spectrum plan for 19E, which is identical to 28.2E for SES, it appears they'll fit in 16 TP's in the 12.5 - 12.75GHz spectrum and 17 TP's in to 11.35 - 11.7GHz.

Here's something interesting too, from the link to the 2E launch on the Khrunichev site: http://coopi.khrunichev.ru/main.php?id=645
it shows 2E's downlink capability, i.e. the preserved Eutelsat bands are missed out: 10.70-1 1.20 GHz & 11.36-12.75 GHz. I wonder if SES have accepted Eutelsat will retain their presence at 28E between 11.25 and 11.35GHz.

Obviously 2E will be available for covering 2F's TP's and vice versa for redundancy purposes, presumably 2G will cover the bottom end of the spectrum too so to provide redundancy for 2E's 10.7 - 10.95GHz well as elsewhere within the ku band spectral allocations.

It's just an educated guess but yep, I'd suspect they'll follow the 19E frequency allocations within 11.3 - 11.7GHz. 11.7 - 12GHz is the 2A/1N (pan Euro) FSS spectrum so doubt any frequency allocations will change apart from SES filling vacant TP's as others have noted. There's nine TP's across the whole Ku spectrum now across 1N and 2A all illuminated once more, some already duplicating EB1 TP Transport Streams and the rest currently empty. I'd say 11527V and 11585H must be two contenders for moving to 2A or 1N Pan-Euro beams as they carry BT Sports who won't want any disruption during changeover.

Who knows. I really can't see BT Sport putting up with any disruption so would suggest they'll move prior to the changes. The next two weeks will be interesting.

That means Eurobird frequenses will thanfer to 2F in October. İf yes which coverage will be use? Pan European Beam1 or Pan European Beam 2 ? If it transfer Pan European beam1 it will be horrbile for Istanbul.

There is only one "Pan" European beam on 2F and one UK spot.

I've just arrived in Cyprus for a week. Staying in the same hotel as last year and there's no Sky News on 12207V now with it being on 1N's Pan-Euro beam with rapid eastern drop-off. I expect the same for 2F.

Yeah it's a pain, luckily we've still got 19.2E and 1W for FTA Sky News with better European coverage.
