Ses Want Frequency Of Eutelsat

for all the new 2F PE tp's: on my setup signal quality is 90-95% on my sky box, however signal strength is only around 40-45%. now, i unsderstand sky boxes are far from accurate devices to measure this, but it's still interesting. for all other PE beams (2A, 1N), signal strength is also around 90%.

ahh ok... so the PE beam seems to have a sharp edge if you cannot get anything in Estonia.

None "lost" but 12610 V and 12640 V were both on 2A beams for an hour or so.

Isn't 2F supposed to take over 2A traffic now anyway?

2A cannot transmit higher than 12.50GHz. It must have been from Eutelsat.

Can't get any of the beams from 1N or 2E no. The beam seems to cut off as it enters into Latvia. Having completed a full blindscan I can say that I now have 276 channels compared to the 450ish I had before yesterday.

Signal level was the same as 2A beams though, however, Eutelsat 28a does give random bursts depending on transponder so it is possible they fired the transponders back up for a few mins and I managed to catch it during that time

But that reading seems to be correct:

28.2E-1N2A2F041013.webp
I also messure lower levels, but only marginal diffrences in signal quality /SNR.

Hmm odd, or it was 1N PE2??

It's possible as I've never seen PE2 being used so I can't say for sure.

Judging by this I'd say its highly possible it was 1N PE2

Whoops sorry yes 2F. Still tired :P

All satellites are perturbed off their notional orbital slot by gravitational forces. The onboard thrusters are used to gently push the satellite back to where it is supposed to be.

Running inclined happens when the onboard fuel runs low. The operator can eke another 3-5 years out of the bird by stopping the north - south station keeping. The satellite then starts drifting in an elongated and often mis-shaped figure eight

Once the inclination passes about 1.5 degrees-ish the bird is no longer any use for dth broadcasting as the signals will vary during the day
Is it possible to recover from the inclined orbit? i.e. could 2D have been prematurley put in inclined orbit, so that it could be bought back on stream should 1N have failed until another craft could take over again?

the screen signal over 2f pe beam
much weker here
maybe doring days will be litel more strong
like 1n or morning or night receiver signal here pe beam on 1n
about astra 1n it field panel solar why it ses plan to move astra 1n to 19.2e if field panel solar
only resons 2c soon end of life ?

The past few days have demonstrated (as we knew) that channels can easily migrate from one bird to another with frequency change and that it is not necessary to make an "instant swap" retaining the same frequency as when the 2D and 2B channels moved to 1N. It makes me wonder if there is any reason why they could not start moving other channels (in addition to the ones that arrived from Eutelsat) off of 1N onto 2F (instead of waiting for 2E to "go live").

Possibly not enough transponders remaining? Does anyone know when 2A leaves service?

EDIT: 48 transponders so yeah it should have enough

2F cannot transmit on the lower band 10.7-10.95GHz so 1N is needed there. Also 2F only has 28 33MHz transponders for the 11.70-12.50GHz range too so would need the help of 2A at least for a while until 2E comes along if 1N was to go. Then there is the problem of backup capacity if 1N was to leave 28E.
