And also, generally, during new sat set-up, signals may be strong for certain amount of time, but after, return to normal level. Same was here with Astra 1M. While initially europe beam was receivable with 1.5m dish, after finalisation of switching, it's unstable on 2m dish.

Absolutely right!

If people do not realize this they could install a dish that is too small. They also have to take into account the satellite weakening as it gets older. With weak signals and fringe reception this is very significant.

All African transponders that probably were just Multichoice feeds, between 11600H and 11700H appear to be switched off since today.
Instead, Eutelsat W7 start operating now with new Multichoice transponders 11747H 11823H 11958V 11996V 12034V and 12073V (symbolrate 27500). I can sometimes lock 12034V here with 100 cm in the Netherlands.

Just randomly scanned 36E and picked up quite a few MCK channels, notably 11747, 11823, 11862, 11881, 11900, 11919, 11940, 11948, 11977, 11996, 12015, 12034, 12054, 12073 & 12245 Mhz.

There are now two satellites in the spot, W4 and W7, one of which has a split beams over Europe and Africa. Many from the Western Europe spot are now receivable on a small sized antenna.

Kind of surprised me, the W7 beams are still listed as sub-Sahara on lyngsat.
