It does look to be an interesting project. I had to laugh however at quote from the head of Science at Astrium that "heat will be a huge problem". Orbiting inside Mercury, you'd think so!!

It is only just inside the orbit of Mercury, besides Thunderbrd 3 safely brought back a probe (and crew) from a similar mission a few years back.
