My Satellite Setup
Motor : HD Line DisceqC Motor 50-120 ( apparently a Moteck SG2100A clone)
Dish : Dur- Line Aluminium 75/80cm
LNB : Dur - Line Twin
4. Receiver: Fortec Star HD Passion Plus ( 2010 )
5. WF 100 cable
My Location
Shoreham by Sea
I installed my T&K brackets to my wall ( south facing) , the pole is all spot on leveled and all the set up of the dish and motor are according to the manuals and my location nonetheless, I cannot get any signal from any satellites.
I took the dish out, checked the level, put again the correct settings, tried to find a satellite with a satellite finder, I reset the motor and still not finding any signal in the receiver. ( the motor is working perfectly )
equipment are:

1. Motor : HD Line DisceqC Motor 50-120 ( apparently a Moteck SG2100A clone)
2. Dish : Dur- Line Aluminium 75/80cm
3. LNB : Dur - Line Twin
4. Receiver: Fortec Star HD Passion Plus ( 2010 )
5. WF 100 cable ( 22 metres from dish to receiver)

I really appreciate if you guys could some ideas.
Thanks a lot.

80cm Motorised.
Several small Dishes.
Much else.

Please provide pics.

It's generally much, much easier to spot fundamental errors from images.

Include a few general shots from a few metres away, plus close ups showing things like the motor bracket graduations and the dish elevation scale. There are some common fundamental howlers that crop up time and again regardless of however diligent one appears to have been.

Easier for us to see at a glance than to challenge in debate all the quoted figures, however seemingly accurate and meticulously applied.

Just "guessing" but I think your elevation angle should be nearer 51-52 degrees and your declination angle is a bit too high - try around 6.7 degrees, and then, with the bolts very slightly loosened, try very gently moving the LNB arm up and down.

PS: why did you set the elevation at around 31.8 degrees = totally wrong for any site in the Southern UK:(

That (31.8*) is the beam elevation for 0.8W. (Data from dishpointer, I guess.)

I agree with you to using the modified motor elevation and modified declination angle: motor elevation scale 38.53/motor latitude scale 51.47; and modified offset declination angle 6.74*.

But that doesn't account for receiving NOTHING near due south.
Maybe there is confusion about the motor scale(s)?
Let's wait for the pictures.....

FWIW, ANY deviation of just a degree or two (or even less ) from any of the appropriate settings will result in "nothing" , or at least not anything from the sats you are trying to receive - as you probably well know :)

Do you mean the motor and dish?
The problem here is to put the correct elevation for my site and which is the best satellite to scan and get some signal.

Sorry to say this but the first 2 photos don't help (me) too much because they don't show the mounting pole/mast, motor mount and dish all together,- and particularly where the 2nd one (with the wingnuts - and I can't read the numbers on the scale in the slot between them ) fits in and so it's a little difficult to fully grasp the relationship between the three elements.

However, as I said last night, I am pretty sure that the latitude setting is wrong - does your installation manual give any charts like the one I got with the TD110 which shows this
upload_2017-12-4_18-32-57.png
However, I'm wondering a little bit if you could have got the elevation setting for the motor on the mast and the declination setting for the dish on the motor the wrong way around! (that is, you put the declination setting on the motor mount, and the elevation setting on the dish mount)?????
