SETANTA SPORTS 1 IS FREE
THIS SATURDAY

Because Setanta Sports has exclusive coverage of the Bank of Scotland Premierleague and the best European league football coverage you'll always be able to keep close to your loved ones. We broadcast over 280 live football games per season.

And this Saturday night you can get a taste of the action for FREE. From 5pm till midnight Setanta Sports will be free on satellite channel 429. Which means you can dim the lights, stay in and get comfortable with a night of top football.

The evening kicks off with The Final Whistle, our 5pm round up show with all the results from the day's action.

After that between 6pm and 10pm, you might like to get to grips with some continental action with Football Europa featuring a live fixture from Serie A.

And this amazing night concludes with The Full SPL at 10pm, our round up of all the highlights from the SPL including the day's Old Firm match.

Now I would take this to indicate that Setanta 1 will be ftv NOT fta

The Full SPL will be a nice bonus for the Old Firm, but the live match is hardly anything to put your Sunday best on for - Catania v Messina. Wow! Interestingly, theres Livorno v Milan in Setanta Sports 2, funny that.

will mostly likely be to try to get more viewers

i had thought of getting nasn but i dont want chelsea tv etc with being a united supporter as you have to have all the channels

Lets be bold about this - Setanta is s*** unless your Scottish, REALLY LOVE golf/American Sports, or your a foreigner that can't get your native sat sports provider to watch your native domestic football.

Apparently they have brought, or tried to acquire rights for NRL (Australian Rugby League), but until they get a major share in big time English sport, its a dud package for an English viewer, EVEN from 2007 when they have the inferior Prem rights.
