Hi all,
I have a dm 500 clone which i c/s i have setanta channels on it i.e setanta ireland/set sports1 and set sports 2 when i go into the manual transponder it gives me the frequencies for what are the irish the eng and for pubs i think.
I only have hop 1 for setanta uk but the box says it is on the irish frequency how do you know for sure as i want to watch england tomorrow and not sure if it will go off. i did see everton v liverpool on setanta ireland last week but dont know how as it was from a hop 1 setanta uk card and only for the roi ?
Thanks

Most Setanta Ireland programmes can be received with a Setanta UK card. But they stop the UK card working on programmes where they only have the Irish rights (eg 3.00 pm football).

The England v Spain match will not be available with a Setanta UK card as ITV have the UK rights.

Thanks for reply.
I knew that yes but what i wanted to know is how do you know by looking at the dreambox which is say setanta ireland uk and setanta ireland roi
I was watching the football last week and it was only available for roi subscribers but the share was coming from somebody with a setanta uk card and couldnt understand it.

Yes i did get the match but the hop was definately coming from a peer with setanta uk as i have checked with him "weird".

That match was definitely NOT available with a Setanta UK card.

If you got a share from that peer it must have been from a Setanta RoI card further down the line.

I get the feeling that you won't accept this information. Therefore I suggest that the next time there is an exclusive RoI transmission - try the FA cup match on Monday 17th Feb - you contact your peer and see if they can can get it on their card.
