so i can lock onto this channel on eutelsat 16e so it shows that i am pointing at 16e but cant get any feeds on there for some reason, any ideas? if im not aligned correctly why would i be able to get this channel? see image as proof

yeah you're way off mate - u have some dish aligning to do.

see mine and mines not even 100% aligned.:

you wont get feeds, until your dish is 100% and even then, it comes down to size of dish.

your mates smaller dish, is better aligned than your bigger one is - get up the ladder and get tweaking.

im about 10 miles from you - and using a 15 year old 1.2m Channel Master

you reported here that on 16E you have no channels or feeds, but you provided a picture of your signal level on HRT2 from 16e (post #46)

can you clarify?

maximise your levels on 1w - then go from there. either your motor elevation is out, or your dish declination - or both.

If you haven't any channels on 0.8w I think you need to go back to basics in setting the motorised dish up. That should be the first satellite you find and align with, 12418 V 28000 has Sky News on it which is what I use to get lined up.

yeah and you should be reaching 95-98% on that - unless you switch your User Interface settings to read in decibels. Then it should be about 14-15db on sky news on 1w when peaked.

10E You should be able to get ORTC Comoros. Thats a MASSIVE signal. Like the guys are saying though you need to start from first principles on 1W Follow the various guides in the dish set up section.

And I dont really care who you were asking to chat to you on twitter. If you do that again I will block your account here. Its totally not acceptable to ask people to take the help off the site. If for the simple reason when you get it sorted it might help somone with a similar problem in the future.

hi yes i had signal on the channel HRT2 HD, 11221 H 30000, but it was showing only a black screen (as seen in the pic i posted), but when i typed in the frequency and pressed search it found it without issues (black screen im guessing its encrypted??) i also have octagon sf8008 (just incase ur wondering), this is what my motor is set to (see image)

ps its taking ages to respond on here as this website is way to slow for me .....,

HRT channels are part time encrypted. SO are the Slovenian channels

As you seem to be doing a lot of complaining you find this web site too slow you are always free to take your questions elsewhere......

I suggest that you start searching for the 16E satellite with the strongest frequency from the Max TV package. For more precise settings, use frequency No. 1 in the picture

My internet connection is over an old-fashioned telephone cable. I've no complaints about the internet velocity of this website. It is faster than I can type...!

not iceland no, Norfolk, UK, according to a manual for my motor i have to set My Declination Angle: "set it by screw b & The scale on the upper mounting plate", so i have to move plate down abit to 7.5, the only thing is the plate goes from 0-8 aka 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 so there isnt a 7.5 option on there see pic > c1e5fcd8 d82f 446a a303 dbef14a3a7b2 — Postimages any ideas??
