Well I sat down for about an hour before I couldn't resist going out... I had a google and apparently the positive motor wire inside the case is green, not red which I assumed.. Go figure. All up and running, got it aligned on 0.8w and span it over to 7e and 10e which are coming in superb.

So right now, a feed on 7e on my 1.2m is at 63% and on the 1.8m 87% (on same receiver)

I'm going to grab my sat card and fire open CrazyScan for some better comparisons...

Not sure what else to go find and see if I can get it now... :D

Well I've found NTN at 11389H 27500 on 4W which apparently needs a 2.4m according to satbeams. Stable picture here.

4w is a pain to receive in the UK. I get that frequency...just about without breakup on a good day on a 1.5m dish. Will be interesting to see other reception reports once you fine tune it.

Certainly will be fun when the weather is clear, it's raining and windy here so not ideal for seeing the best it can do.

Well I've hit a problem.. Was spinning around to see it's limits, and around 60W I hit the ground stand... Yet to see how far east I can go, but its certainly going to be more than I can see due to the horizon, so in a weekends time or two I'll have my mate round to unbolt it from the concrete, spin the stand round 30 and pop it down again.... DUH. :(

Finally went out and took some photos whilst it was daylight. And yes I know the tall smaller dish is facing a hedge. It was in the way of the new toy so will be relocated later. :D

As soon as I move it I'll be doing a proper job on the wiring, I have a nice watertight box which Ill attach to the end of the conduit pipe I have going to the house.

Still awaiting a decent weekend to shift the dish into it's final place, as right now its hitting the stand at 45w ish, so won't know any final range till then. :( Maybe next weekend!

I'll try some decent feed hunting on the rarer sats then, I think it could do with a little tweak on the base feet to track the arc better not no point fannying about now till we shift it.

One thing I did manage to sort out was the wiring at the house end.

I've got 6 Coax lines running to the box, but so far only 4 runs to the dishes using the more expensive cabling. Forgive the sticker, I just couldn't resist. :D I have another box for the dish end. And yes, my garden is a mess. :(

I prefer the original >> Reminds me of my TV/Audio/Comms stack before I tidied it up recently after adding a VOIP Adaptor to it.

Yeah, what's the black stuff?
Looks proper to me.
I am concerned everytime I squint at the Triax Koka I installed as the coax infrastructure in my new roof.
(Which happened in a hurry when the builders got very busy 5 years ago just as massive rains was predicted for a week...)
I now know you can get proper "outside-grade" cabling, which will last for many more years than what I've put in.
Is that what you've installed?
