setting up connections

Hi, I've had a normal sky system connected to a samsung DVD recorder for a while now with no problems. However I have just put up another satellite dish to the hotbird satellite (sagem reciever) and while the pictures ok i cant seem to record anything off hotbird. what i am doing is just transferring the leads from the skybox to the sagem box but no joy. Can anyone help ? thanks
ps everything has 2 scart plugs
 
Although your using scart connections it still could be the RF channel output of the receiver.

Either set up the 'new' receiver to the same RF channel

or

Retune the recorder to find the RF channel.

Above only sssuming your using the RF modulator of course. If your using scart only, then check connections are in correct place in each box.

No, still having problems , not very technically minded im afraid.When i turn the recorder on it goes back to sky rather than hotbird.
the scart connections are marked
DVD recorder AV1 TV & AV2 EXT
TV EXT 1 & EXT 2
Sky reciever TV Scart & VCR Scart
Sagem Reciever TV & VCR
I have plenty of scart leads.
