I installed a 1m gibertini on a technomate 2300 motor.
I had my technomate 1000d all set up from another motorized dish which has eveything configured.
When i go to my reference satellite at 5w it wont move, but when i manually move the dish on disecq 1.2 it moves.
I am now confused now on how to set it up.

Have you enabled USALs on the receiver and inserted your coordinates?

Also did you follow the forums motor set up guides.

the reciever was set up using usuals on my old setup in my mothers and works perfect.
I spent the last few months reading on how to install a motorized system, so i'm a bit confused.

Enable USALs, drive to zero and insert coordinates. Then drive to a satellite and see.

Thanks satman.
will try tomorrow, I'll let you know how i get on.

I tried to move the dish back to 0 by the reciever and on the motor and it wont go back, which is east, it makes a clicking sound when i try to drive it east.
There are no limits set on the technomate as i done a factory reset.

If you can get to the dish, there is pin hole where you can hard reset the motor. Can also reset from motorised settings on TM receiver under DiSEqC 1.2

Take care when resetting the motor as it will swing towards zero from wherever it happens to be pointing!

Don't get clonked on the head or knocked off a ladder.

Yes, I've had a smack in the face on one occasion :-rofl2

So have I, but that was nothing to do with Satellite Dishes ..................... :-laugh

Ha ha thats all i need is a slap of a dish, will have a go thanks,

Reset the motor and notting, the light went orange, now the motor wont move at all now. I think the motor could be faulty.

Always best to test a new motor on the ground first. Can you get it to work with DiSEqC 1.2 and save positions?

No it wont move at all now. This is the same thing that happened to my last motor only difference is that this motor is new.
