I want to use my motorised dish to pick up the Astra satellite used for feeds on 2 E, and have tried doing this on my Eurovox EX8000 HD+. But I cannot get it to 2 E when trying to use one of the empty satellite slots on the menu. I can of course name the satellite, but the position remains at 0. In the manual I do not find a solution on the issue. Anybody with this kind of receiver who can tell me how to do it?

You do not say what kind of motor you have but surely you can just drive your motor from the nearest sat that is stored then manually drive it to that position, then scan. I do not have your equipment but how have you done this procedure to get what you already have?
It is a Diseq 1.2, and the Eurovox receiver calculates the positions once you have stored it on one position. Fine tuning is possible, and I did this to get signals from certain transponders on Badr-4 at 26 E receivable where I live. But the 2 E position is not part of the receiver list, although there are some 0 positions where I can add new positions. When I try to do that, nothing happens. If I try to manually move the motor it requires a stored position to save it, and there we go...

As I say I do not know your receiver but if you have software for your computer to backup and edit the satellites and channels, it may be that you have to download the current stored settings to your PC and then insert using that software then copy back to the stb, I do not know I am just guessing but on some receivers it has to be done that way
