I need a short HDMI cable, 45-60cm long, to avoid yet another unsightly
coiled cable.
Does anyone sell a cable at less than 1m long?

Oh Yes Thank You.
I didn't look in the right places!!
So much for the guy at Curry's, the expert.

Anybody advise on a good quality HDMI cable at a not too expensice price?I have been told Monster cable is a good make. Also would like one at under a metre long. Thanks
P.S.Can you give me the make and best place to buy if possible

I generally go buy HDMI jacks at radio parts store, then buy desired length of CAT 6. UTP network cable, and solder cable by myself :) My personal self-made length experience is from 30cm to 15m.

To be honest buying an expensive cable will not get you a better picture than a cheap one.

As long as the signal is getting through to the TV and you're able to watch a picture then that's it. Digital is either there or not - there's no gradual deterioration in quality.

The only exception is just at the point where the signal is not quite strong enough. Then you get blocking and freezing of the picture in fits and starts. That's the only time you should think of a better quality cable.

If you are looking at a metre or less long then I would just go for the cheapest I could find.

When I wanted a short 50cm hdmi lead for my PS3 to Amp I got it from UKHDMI.

Just the express cable. At the time I got it a 50cm lead was more expensive than a 1m lead.

I refuse to buy them from Currys etc as more than £10 for a 1 M cable is quite frankly taking the preverbial... Don't even get me started on the price of Monster cables.

The only time it's worth paying more for hdmi cables is for long runs. If the HDMI signal attenuates too much then it all goes wrong and the handshaking falls apart. This can be as little as a 0.3v drop. For normal length runs all the high street retailers are taking the public for a ride...
