One question; where did you buy your CM 2,4 and what was the cost. I'm often i Lpool for the footie, and have looked at bringing one home. My local dealers are expensive. Ta, Grorud.
 
Hi m8, thanks for info but I'll give it a miss, very expensive that site.

The dish I got from ebay, it was just pure luck someone told me it was on there and I went for it and never let it go.
Cost me £490 for dish and then hire of van was £75 then diesel was £32.

Still better than paying £2500 for a new one.

Its hard to say how it performs yet because I have not got the right feedhorn for it.

M8 please note these dish are big, look at my pictures and if you have a wife or partner then I can tell you now they will hit the roof.
I have had it for a week now and she is not letting up.
 
Sound! I have a Fortec Star 2.4m in the garden at the moment, but no Astra 2D in Oslo with that one. It's a bit wobbly having been assembled a few times, so that's probably why.

I know it's big and have already checked with a shipping company in Liverpool. But I think being patient is the way. I'll look everywhere and we'll see. Obviously £2.350,00 for a dish is a lot of money, but deffo worth it when it's in it's place and working. A few pubs here in Oslo have them, and the Beeb is 100% 24/7.

My girlfriend is okay with the dishes as long as it's just not all fottie on the telly, but then again she can watch a lot of things while I'm in work.....

Try satworld.gr
They sell only to EU countries
I think that the price they show in the site is for the Basic Option and it is only for 6 months.
Try contacting them (e-mail or telephone) and find out how much the smartcard cost for 12 months for the sports option and then post back if it is reasonable.

If anyone know of a cheaper and reliable source, then please post here.

Thank you sini1000. According to the website, there are four options for Showtime. Which package do you have at this price ?

Can you please give the details of the shop (website, telephone number) and kindly ask him if he can sell to our members all over Europe and Middle East the 12 months Premium package. Thank you for your help.

the smartcard only 16$
decoder+installation+smart card+ 90cm dish+lnb 55$

Thank you very much for this very useful information.

The big question is if they can sell to our members based in Europe or Middle East or only to Arab countries.

If they can, then please ask them the price for only the Premium package smartcard, since members have already an installed system and all they need is a smartcard.

Thank you for clarifying this matter in full.:)

It seems that for the UK one needs a really big dish ~2.4m to receive well Showtime on Nilesat 7W. So I doubt now if many would have rushed in to buy the smartcard.

Anybody knows which package gives in Europe the Showtime Premium equivalent with English commentary ?

I am desperate to get a showtime card, a pity you can't get one for me. I have seen on the net a Showtime sports card for £358 but that is the cheapest I've seen. I understand the official Sports card from Showtime website equates to about £150 is this correct

The price is always higher outside the eligible countries.
If you have a cheaper alternative, then you should consider it.
 
The price i have been quoted here is €600 for the premier package for 12 months. Whats that in sterling ?
