I'm in Central Scotland 55o 4o using a sky style 80cm mesh dish. I could get pretty strong signals on HotBird and Astra 19 but now that I'm fixed on Astra 28 my signal varies quite a lot. Most I get is 70% but as the Fortec Star Passion tunes the signal and quality vary a lot on different channels. I can reliably get the HD channel but other channels are hit and miss. Should I expect better and get back up the ladder?

Is this an old dish and are you still using the old LNB?

I would expect much better from that sized dish.

Can you post a couple of pictures?

No motor, tried that and gave up, I'm coming of the West side of my house on an L arm and just could not get the motor mount verticle.

It is a brand new mesh dish from Maplin UK. The LNB is new. I used Maplins LED Satfinder to line up. It was a bit wet and windy while I was up there and I didn't find the Satfinder that responsive though I did have to turn down the gain a couple of times.

So should I be looking for 80%+ or what?
