Have you tried scanning the channels in? If they are FTA and you have a lock, you should get a picture.

Also, are you using USALs or manually storing the channels?

You're about a mile from me RB, on a 1m you should get the 25.5E radio stations easily and also try 31.5E 12168V, this was always a good test for my 1m. You could try the Algerian beam on 4W and the two African signals on 31.5W

Is 53E your limit due to obstructions or as far as you've tested so far? 68.5E will be strong if you can get that far, 75E is do-able too but if your lat/long is accurate next doors tree will be in the way assuming the dish is at ground level in the back garden.

I ve been locking on to the signal with my meter, then storing the position on the g-box, then auto scan on the receiver (protek 9760HD) Im using DiSEqC 1.2, because its a jaeger 1224. I hope thats right? It may be that the channel list I ve got is out of date, I downloaded it off of another forum. Need to check out a few things, I ve just finished everything and cleared up. Taken some photos, they'll be on here soon (on this thread or under new installs?)

HI neighbour, haven't finished tuning the more awkward/fringe satellites yet. Im picking up 30 satellites from 30W to 53E at the mo. Luckily the big tree was cut down completely 2 weeks ago, bonus!

Also the protek has a list of transponders on it, but does't seem to have them all. Some show signal strength but no quality? I haven't been able to figure out how to add new ones yet, haven't had time! The instructions are almost useless, I ve sort of figured it out as I ve gone along.

Ah yeah, if you're using 1224 then DiSEqC is the way to go. Keep at it - you seem to be on the way.

And yes, transponder data goes out of date quickly so be sure to keep that updated.

I assume that you can delete unwanted programmes/transponders, got to figure that out yet. Still now that it is installed I should have some time :-bighappyJust posted some photos under Members Setups, hope you enjoy them.
