My Satellite Setup
I am using 60cm dish, android based receiver DVB-S2 China made K11.A 32 in Sharp flat Tv.
My Location
Staying in malaysia N 01deg E 100deg long.
I just received new android DVB-T2 DVB-S2 combi tv box K11 China made.On installation I experienced difficulties to get the pictures in tv.While scanning channels, signal strength was around 50% and quality strength was nil.Even then I have adjusted the dish up down .left right several times,Also inserted in line signal meter,The coax cable was about 5m from dish to receiver. Now my question is how to improve signal and quality strength to usable level.Thank you in advance.

Ignore the signal strength, it's quality you require.
First I would check the cable connections, also check for any damage, to the cable, and signs of water ingress:
fit a F connector.jpg

You state that you fitted a meter, what make/model meter do you have?
Which satellite are you trying to align to?

We need a little more background information to give meaningful advice:
- how much of the equipment was used in functioning system?
- what sat was this aligned to?
- is it same sat you are trying to receive?
- can you fit old box and verify dish is aligned and lnb-cable working?
- do you know someone with correctly aligned antenna you could try the box on?
- when you say move dish up and down, do you mean lightly moving it a few degrees back and forth, or large movements?

As mickha says, it sounds like cable shorting, bad connectors, broken lnb, or maybe even malfunctioning receiver.

Best of all would be if you can post some pictures of the dish (back and front), LNB, cabling, and possibly back of receiver.

The signal indication measures the amount of signal coming in to the receivers tuner from the LNB, 50% is a bit low for a 5 meter run of coax, question I have is what type of coax did you use?

If for off air TV it may not work too good, I use coax rated out to 3 GHz, this gives the lowest signal loss at the higher frequency's.

As the others have mentioned check all the connector's and any switch for loose or corroded connections.

If the coax has been in place for a long time and is exposed too the weather then water may have got inside the jacket and caused a corroded shield, this can cause all sorts of problems.

And the center conductor may not be sticking out long enough to make good internal connection at the new receivers "F" connector, it should be sticking out 3 to 5 mm, also check for any stray strands or shield shavings in the connector.

A low "S" indication could also mean that your not lined up on a satellite, or the wrong transponder or LNB settings have been entered.

Thank you everybody here,
I have solved the problem. As suggested above,I hooked my receiver to my neighbour"s house.
Hooray it works. So I identified the problem is ... LNB.
Thank you again

If the LNB was working on the old box,(unless you thought the old box was the problem) then why would it die with the new one?????

Something funny going on.........

Did you try the old box over at the neighbor's??

The dish was originally fixed to the house and wiring was also done. The only missing part was the box.So I have 2 or rather 3 problems. The box, dish or both.

You have already tested your receiver, and that was working, so your problems are:
Dish, not aligned correctly.
LNB faulty.
Cable/Connections, loose or broken.
All these can be checked with your satellite meter, will you please post the make/model of your meter.

That's perfect, if it's working.
Can you test it on your neighbours system?
Just connect it to the receiver, and LNB cable, just to test it lights up.
If it's working you just connect it to your LNB, and then run a fresh cable to your receiver.
Switch on your receiver and it should light up.
You then adjust the knob, to get it to read around 5, adjust your dish, until it reaches 10, then decrease the sensitivity, by turning the knob, to get it back to 5, move the dish, until it reads 10, and keep doing this until you get the strongest signal possible.
Once done scan in a few channels, on your receiver, and check which satellite you are pointing at.
