I have a Silent Gold SMG99 36V motor that I acquired with a TRIAX 1m dish from a local recycling site a few years ago but won't be using it as I have now installed the dish with a USALS motor.

I don't know if the motor does work because I have never tried it out, but I suspect that it does (or at least did) because the complete dish/LNB/motor assembly had been disposed of by someone - and the dish itself was/is in VGC.

As I can't vouch for the 36V motor, I would propose that, if collected from my home (Hayes, W.London), you can take it away and try it out - then if it works, a £15 payment by BT or Paypal Gift but if it does not work then nothing to pay!

PS: This has already been offered to markjose in reply to his old Wanted ad and he has first pick for the next 7 days if he still wants it. However, after that it will be sold to anyone who does.

Bump because Captain Jack wants the Superjack positioner I advertised in another thread as a possible part of a combo deal with the motor - but not the motor.

So, is anyone interested in just the motor ?

Come on, SOMEONE must want it. :D!

You could try and see if it works before you send the positioner to Cpt Jack .

Thanks but I don't need the positioner to test the motor because my old EchoStar & TM receivers both have 36V drive capability - when I get around to doing that, which won't be anytime very soon because of other commitments.

May help if you could advise the load capability of the motor. Don´t know if anyone else has tried to find the specs, but the standard Google search tells me it can propel my bicycle at approx 30 kph!

That motor can drive up to a 1m dish comfortably - it WON'T drive the Laminas 1.8m!

According to a current Pulsat advert , it can carry dishes up to 1.2m but the "SM99" designation seems to indicate about 1.0m - which is the size of the TRIAX dish attached to it when I bought it some years ago - and that also seems to be the general opinion in other posts I have read.

Pulsat want £90 a shot!
