Does anyone know what needs to be done to change the sky plus box to single feed configuration?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware it's only the HD box that has the option for this; the ordinary $ly+boxes don't.

* Make sure your sky cable is plugged into "Dish Input 1"
* Press Services on your remote
* Press Right-Arrow and highlight "Settings"
* Press Down-Arrow and highlight "Picture"
* Press 0, 1, Select
* The "Setup" tab will now appear
* Scroll down and select the "Single Feed Mode" option
* Press the Right-Arrow and change it from 'OFF' to 'ON'
* Press the Green Button to Save the settings
* A 'Caution' message will appear... Press 'Select'
* Your system will now switch-off/reboot
* Leave it for a couple of minutes
* Press the Sky button to bring it back to life

Is that for the non-HD version Tivù?

No that is the HD box only - there is no equivalent on the non HD Sky+ box although you can use my "patented" dummy recording method to achieve the same thing
All you need to do is connect the single cable to input 1 and set a manual recording on a channel you never watch lasting 24 hours repeated daily which will always fail but take virtually zero hard disk space. Delete these failed recordings when the next dummy starts.

This works because input 1 is the channel normally used for viewing (from switch on with nothing recording) and input 2 is normally used for the first scheduled recording. If an input is already in use the box will automatically switch to the other input for whatever it wants to do. Because the dummy manual recording is already telling the box that it is already using input 2, anything else will happen on input 1. With this setup you can do any one of three things
1 Watch one channel.
2 Record one channel (either timed via Planner or by pressing Record whilst viewing).
3 Record one channel and watch a previous recording.

For recordings from the planner it is best to leave the box in standby and doesn't need to be left on any particular channel (DO NOT leave on channel dummy recording is set on)

HD only - didn't spot the specific requirement originally.

That said, the OP may actually have HD, even though it isn't mentioned. Time will tell.

Edit: My secretary has posted the correct reply!
