Hi, I registered several days ago to this forum and still are waiting to receive an activation email, can someone help please?

I have checked and emptied my spam/junk mail filters, no sign of your activation email, strangely I received your Satellites UK Support email which contained the following with no problem.

Could you please send again and I will turn my filters off, the problem is how long should it take for the email to arrive?

Some forums take micro seconds others can take days?

Hi Satelliteman,

I have checked and emptied my spam folders and there was no sign of your activation email, however your Satellites UK Support email arrived no problem. I shall keep my Mailwasher off and monitor my cftb.net web browser if you could please sent it again.

How long should that take, some forums it happens within seconds other can and have taken days?

The forum's software should prioritise and send out an activation email after registration.

Another email resent to registered address.
 
In box and spam/mail washer checked this morning NO activation email. :confused:

Now surely as I can log on to part of the forum and there have been several communications between ourselves obviously I'm NOT a robotic device trying to infiltrate your forum, nor am I a spammer intending to spam you forum with Viagra adverts :-rofl2

The problem could be my means of internet connection, I have a Vodafone 3G data sim card which causes me lots of email problems in that I get messages saying an email hasn't been sent them my sent to contact tells me he has receives several identical emails.

Is there no way my activation could be done directly by your self?

As these vodaphone dongles are unreliable and offer little in the way of support but do give internet access, can I recommmend you sign up for a free on-line email account at e.g. gmail.com or hotmail.co.uk and that way you will have a reliable email system that can be used for authentication purposes and your own general email without the hassle of unreliable email

I have had my cftb.net address for some time know without problems, I do also have hotmail and gmail accounts but I thought that this forum didn't allow them, I also believe that for the last few years most 'new' forums have banned the free mailing accounts as you cannot authenticate them?

I shall try re-registering with my hotmail address then.
