Size of programmes on DVD

Sky+ Box, Panasonic DVD/PVR and 30 inch Ohilips 30pf9975
My Location
United Kingdom
I wish to copy some files to DVD. So far I have had no problems with the initial test programmes.

What I would like to know is how much space one hour of a Single Play Sky+ recording will take on a DVD?

How many hours can you get on a DVD at SP according to your DVD player instructions?
1 hour will take the appropriate fraction of that.
The fact that the recording source is Sky+ is irrelevant to this discusion.

About 2G, Thats roughly what I get with my PVR (SD that is)

Check your DVD recorder and see if you can format the DVD media (or the HDD) so that you can have more time on a standard 4.7GB DVD-R.
My recorder can format the media to record up to 10 hours, but with much reduced quality.
I have settled to a 3 hours format, so that two films can fit.
