Sky Active Connection Problem

For a long time now, I have been unable to access any Sky Active services (ie email, shopping, voting) as whenever I try to connect I get the message "error code 111" and am told to ring a (Sky) phone number.
I did this once, and was told it was a card problem, it was common and would be fixed.
I've also tried via BT talk21 to get this fixed - they told me to have the "gain" increased on my phone line - I did this and still no joy.
I dread the thought of ringing Sky again - if any of you have had problems you know what that's like !
Anybody know a reliable and easy method of getting this sorted ?
