sky + and sky hd remotes

i have removed the battery cover off the back of my extra remotes. it says version 8 sky hd. does this mean that the remote will only change the hd box?

It can be reprogrammed to operate any Sky digibox.

1 Press "TV"
2 Press "i" and "Select" together until red led on remote flashes twice
3 Press "0" for standard box OR "1" for Sky+ OR "2" for HD box
4 Press "Select" - red led should flash twice
5 Press "Sky"

All Sky remotes after version 4 can be reprogrammed to work any Sky box - on standard and Sky+ remotes step 2 is "Yellow" and "Select" together and in step 3 opion "2" is not available BUT Sky+ remotes control HD boxes so use "1" for both Sky+ and HD boxes.
