Nope, no questions asked. I just told them that I got the box on the Internet and I don't have a phone connection. Period. The guy was extremely nice and efficient. Hey ho!

But what happens if Sky does a check and finds the box is not connected to a phone line? Do they then switch the card off?

Why would they?

They asked the question Eugenius gave the answer - he doesn't have a phone.

As long as he doesn't order PPV and keeps paying - bet they don't care about the information.

For the box to be on sale on eBay it should be out of contract - they have had their years worth of information from it.

Hi again! The whole thing works marvellously, I am very happy with it. The only thing is that the 40 giga hard drive is quite small, I should have gone for the 160, but maybe I can upgrade it with a peripheral, once Sky launches the Sky+ 160 box. Whaddya think, fellers?
