sky dish for larnaca cyprus

i wonder if anyone can help me. i have brought a 2.7 meter dish with sky digital subscription my house is two storey and very high will i be able to pick up a good signal for most channels on sky, if not what woulkd i be able to do to make signal stronger thanks....
 
thanks i have heard from so many people i would need a 4.2 dish to recieve most channels from sky as being in larnaca u need bigger dish
 
They are refering to the channels carried on Astra 2D (BBC, ITV, etc.)
 
so other than bbc and itv what channels will i be able to pick up
 
can anyone answer about what channels i will be able to recieve with a 2.7 dish situated in larnaca
 
You should be able to pick up most of the sky package in Larnaca on your 2.7.What you cannot get is bbc/itv.With a free to view card you will get ch4,five,five life,five us,sky three.But for the last couple of weeks there has been a loss on ch4 and maybe sky three.men and motors,sky news,cnn are free to air(no card)
Which part of Larnaca are you?
 
i live in xylotymbou which is the village next to dhekelia english base
 
i was wondering if anyone could tell me i have a panasonic dsb40 digital box is that a good reciever for xylotymobou larnaca area.
 
its an average box,"good" boxes are ones that can receive bbc and itv in places where average ones are not as good.the best is the pace 2600 which is not made anymore but can be found in places like ebay
