My Satellite Setup
Humax HDR1100S Freesat Recorder. Octagon UHD satellite box with Gibertini 1m motorised dish. Triax TD78 for Freesat. Triax TD64 for Freesat to 3 rooms. 2 Panasonic Freeview+ HD recorders.

GUYS IT'S TRUE

My box has just done a update and now the record/playback function with the old blue card WILL NOT WORK! Sky have got their way again. I will now have to buy a decent Freesat PVR. B******S!!!!!

I took the hard drive out of my 2tb box and put it into my nas drive as I did need a new hard drive.

So now it's a 4TB nas (jbod)
 
Well, I can always crack open the spare boxes I have and use the 500gb drives to upgrade my computer a bit! :D
 
I know the 1 & 2 TB boxes are sata drives. Don't know about the earlier ones.

Still worth a try. YouTube is your friend there :-)
 
May have to get hold of a Pace, Samsung, or Thomson box.
 
I thought so, Dave. Ah well, like I said I'll upgrade the PC tower a bit! LOL!
 
Just to add. I have secured a Samsung HD Sky+ from Ebay very cheaply. I can only give this a go. I'm basing this on the fact it will not get the update so fingers crossed :).
