Sky HD in Iceland

Ok here goes, first time on here. I live in Reykjavik, Iceland and currently have basic sky digital (not sky+). Thinking of buying a HD Box off ebay and picking it up in England next time I'm over (4 weeks). Installation should not be a problem, just need advice on card activation, do I need to be connected to a phone line (big problem). I already have a UK address and bank acount. Advice please.

P.S. Is it safe to buy boxes off ebay or does anyone know of better option, thanks G.
 
If you are coming over, order the box beforehand and go see the seller with your card in your pocket.
 
sky now have the NPL option: NO PHONE LINE it is an opt out if you dont have a phone line and it will cost £25.00, this only applies to 1 box and not multiroom obviously.
