SKY in Northern cyprus

Appologies if this has already been coevred.

I want to be able to receive sky in Northern Cyprus (Karsiyaka) and have been unable to find anyone who can recomemnd a good source of definitive info about what it will cost me for a dish and who I can trust to install. ANy help will be appreciated.

Have a look in this section, have moved your post to the Fringe reception forum, there are several members living in Cyprus and several threads about it.
 
I have had a lok through teh archives but cant find anything specific so any help from anyone would be appreciated
 
Thanks for the reply. I had already taken a look at these and found some useful info but am especially interested in the Northern Cypris (Turkish side) as most of the posts cover Paphos etc. The TRNC (north side of Cyprus ) ia whole difefrent country and it is unlikely that an installer would come over the border so I really need some input from someone who has done this type of thing in the North.
 
I work in a satellite shop in Paphos, we do not supply to the north but i can tell you that you will need a 4m dish to receive the BBC & ITV in Kyrenia. I do not know how far that is from where you live. What i would suggest is to try one of the bars in Kyrenia (I know it will be hard to trawl the bars) that have sky sports & find out where they got their system from. I believe that you will find that a 4m dish will be hellishly expensive & you may think about sharing the costs with three close neighbours (if you have them) and have an invacom Quad Lnb fitted which will allow you to take three run offs. failing that try contacting one of the Nicosia satellite companies (southern Cyprus) you never know they may supply to the north. Unfortunately i do not know the names of any of the Nicosia suppliers but if you trawl the net you never know. Sorry I couldn't be more help

It is possible to receive Sky in Northern Cyprus, the dish size you need depends on if you want BBC & ITV. If you do then you would need for 24hr reception a 4.2 meter dish otherwise a 2.7 would do for the majority of Sky channels. I am based in Southern Cyprus and have a satellite installations company. if you would like any further information let me know.

You sound like a man who can help us with some info !
We're looking at a 4m+ set up in Catalkoy.
We're hoping to get Sky as well as BBC/ITV/C4 etc.
Can you recommend anyone in TRNC who can give us a quote ?
Any info would be a great help

I still get the following error when i try to mail you...
