Sky have announced this afternoon that the monthly £10 fee to watch Sky+ will be dropped. As long as you subscribe to any two Sky Premium channels you will be entitled to have your £10 Sky+ subscription fee waived. Sky Family pack customers and those on lower subscription packages will continue to pay £10 per month Sky+ subscription charge. Sky also announced that the cost of a Sky mirror subscription is to reduced from £15 to £10. The new prices are in effect, from the 1st of October 2003.

This is relatively good news Net1, shame it doesn't apply on the Family package, but it should save a lot of people money.

No, they are hoping that those who have the family package will be tempted to go up to the next level and get Sky plus, then they'll hope that they retain their box and go for the mirror subscription, then they'll start using the interactive more, then the PPV then etc, etc, etc. :D
