According to this week's Broadcast journal, Sky News is in talks with several satellite companies for possible carriage and a launch in the States. Sky News could launch as soon as July on DirecTV, which is America's biggest satellite service with over 11 million subscribers. Sky News is also in talks with cable companies in the US to provide a similar sort of service that is available to us in the UK from sister station Fox TV.
